Arun Anant-Member

Arun is an alumnus of IIM A and has previously worked in leadership positions with companies such as Economic Times and UTV News. Arun has recently co-founded a management consulting company called Inc Value that advises promoters and private equity companies post investment.

Bala Deshpande-Member

Bala Deshpande is Senior Managing Director for New Enterprise Associates (India) Pvt. Ltd based in Mumbai where she is responsible for creating and building India platform for NEA. Prior to NEA Ms Bala Deshpande was Director-Investments with ICICI Ventures. Prior to ICICI Venture, she had more than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing. She currently focuses on sectors such as retail, media, IT, ITES and telecom. She is on the board of several companies including Pantaloon Retail, Subhiksha, Air Deccan, Nagarjuna Construction, Welspun, TechProcess Solutions, Naukri.com amongst others.

Bala is a Master in Economics, Bombay University and Masters in Management Studies, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.

Joe Madiath-Member

Mr. Joe Madiath is the CEO of Gram Vikas one of India’s most admired NGOs. In 1969, while still a student, he journeyed across India, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka on a bicycle for a year. He founded the NGO Gram Vikas in 1979, which now works with nearly 2, 00, 000 people in 559 villages in 17 Orissa districts-building biogas plants, water tanks, pipelines, toilets and complete sanitation systems.

Joe was the recipient of the 2001, Outstanding Social Entrepreneur Award by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and 2001, Most Innovative Development Project Award by Global Development Network

Monisha Advani (Member and Chair of the Board):

Monisha Advani is a well known thought leader in the field of human resources. As the former Managing Director of Randstad India (www.randstad.com) and founder CEO of EmmayHR (inception 1996, sold to Randstad in 2005, integrated into Randstad India in 2007), she has developed strong and strategic insights which have helped engage human capital for the services and manufacturing sector. Her advisory expertise has helped many international companies to set up and evolve their commercial presence in the subcontinent. Since 2009, Monisha works as an angel investor to start-ups and mentors young entrepreneurs. She is a resident of Mumbai and supports NGOs like Project Crayons and Cancer Patient's Association as an active patron.

Rahul Barkataky -Member

Mr.Rahul Barkataky is the Founder CEO of Community Friendly Movement (www.whycfm.org) which is working to improve the lives of workers by using the power of retail. Before CFM, Rahul was the Executive Director of MITRA. Rahul has also worked with the Centre for Environment Education, a centre of excellence for Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India and in an Indo-Dutch project on drinking water. Rahul is a Ashoka fellow and a Prince Philip scholar
